Overview

 We are currently seeking skilled Ship Crane Operators for our Stevedoring and/or Cargo Handling operations. The purpose of this position is to accurately and safely discharge and/or offload vessels in port in the most efficient ways possible. We uphold the highest safety standards and seek to employ like-minded operators. 

 Details: 

  • Scheduling:
    • Operators can expect shift work type scheduling including nights and weekends as needed. 
  • Compensation and Benefits:
    • $26-$28/hr. Based on experience
    • Regularly available over time

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Ship to Shore Cranes
    • Safe and knowledgeable operation of equipment
    • Inspection of equipment for defect or damage before and after operation
    • Assist with cleaning and maintaining equipment to safety standards
  • Discharge Vessels promptly
    • Attentive to operations and surroundings
    • Follow scheduling and production goals set by management
    • Work as a team to meet, achieve, and exceed goals when possible

Qualifications

  • 6 months minimum experience with Ship Crane Operation or similar.
    • Must possess valid relevant crane training certification if you do not have work experience. This includes Gantry Crane, GL/GLE, or K4 Crane Training. 
  • Understanding and knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used for Crane Operation. 
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC card (for more information visit the TSA website on TWIC requirements)
  • Valid US driver's license 

 Other Details: 

  • As a port employer our team is subject to working in all weather conditions including extreme heat and harsh winters. We work in all weather conditions. 
  • All employees must pass a background check, drug screening, and pre-employment physical and be able to obtain a valid TWIC card within a specified period of hire.
