Responsibilities

What your days will look like as a Logistics Agent:

  • Coordinate all port operations and vessel activities;
  • Inform our clients and vessels about local and national regulations to ensure an efficient travel;
  • Update information related to the smooth running of operations (Port Info, port fee calculation software to produce pro formas, etc.);
  • Represent shipowners and/or charterers of foreign vessels;
  • Provide support to shipowners and their staff during port calls;
  • Be present at all times during the arrival and departure of vessels under your responsibility;
  • Prepare customs declarations as well as the necessary port documentation for vessel operations;
  • Ensure the production of customs declarations and all other documentation related to port operations necessary for vessel operations;
  • Ensure operations are conducted according to Logistec Group and Logistec Maritime Agencies rules and procedures.

Qualifications

To succeed as a Logistics agent, you must have:

  • At least two (2) years of experience in customer service;
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office suite;
  • Intermediate oral and written proficiency in both English and French;
  • Be autonomous, have a team spirit, and good judgment;
  • Be organized and able to make decisions quickly;
  • Have a valid driver's license;
  • Be available to work on rotating shifts.
